Julia Förster is a freelance researcher, curator, and project manager.
She had spent almost 10 years in the music industry, when her focus shifted to urbanistics and municipal politics.
She implemented numerous projects at the nexus between art and urban activism such as „We-Traders. Swapping Crisis for City“ for Goethe-Institut and „Declaration of Urban Rights / Urban Parliament“ for Akademie der Künste Berlin.
Her current research and playing field is her native city Berlin. Together with collaborators from the spheres of urbanism, arts, political sciences, economic sciences, journalism, engineering and more, she explores post-participatory* strategies of city making and political action.
