2015 – 2016 Urban Parliament Berlin (UR_B)

An Urban Parliament served as infrastructure to draft a Berlin Urban Rights Chart in a series of five public parliamentary working sessions.  Julia Förster invited members of urban initiatives and projects as well as other experts to debate one specific issue at each session, together with the public. The common aim was to establish new fundamentals for the use of Berlin’s public spaces. In a final session, this UR_B Chart with concrete demands was handed over to Berlin policy makers.

UR_B was conceived and implemented in collaboration with Zuloark Collective as part of the  exhibition DEMO:POLIS – The Right to Public Space from March to May 2016 at Akademie der Künste Berlin.
